About a year ago, myself, Nate and Tom noticed that VentraIP had a Black Friday deal going on:

Free .au domains for the first year!

There was no limit on how many .au domains we could set up.

Nate mentioning VentraIP's rebrand on PhoneNet reminded me that we even did this to begin with. I figured I'd post a quick little follow up.

VentraIP is apparently raiding the coffers of Tom:

While drafting this post, I asked Tom and Nate whether either of them have made use of their domains.

• Tom: Sort of (he renewed his)
• Nate: half of his shopping spree were effectively shitposts directed at me.

Was it worth all the pissing around to get the domains? Not really.

Would we do it again?

• Me: fuck yes
• Tom: didn't get back to me prior to publication UPDATE: Tom has provided the following response: "prob"
• Nate: "I'd do it again to just annoy Brendan with all the stupid domains I bought teasing him."
